My work lives at the intersection of art, entrepreneurship, and community revitalization. I believe creativity is not just something we hang on a wall. It is something we use to imagine new futures, restore overlooked spaces, tell richer stories, and build places where people feel seen, inspired, and connected.

As an artist, I am drawn to color, texture, transformation, and the beauty of what can be made by hand, heart, and imagination. My creative practice shapes how I see the world. It also shapes how I approach development. I do not simply see vacant buildings or underused spaces. I see canvases, gathering places and opportunities for people to create, sell, perform, grow, and belong.

That vision is what led me to invest in downtown Henderson, North Carolina. My hometown.

Through HjoiK Studios and The Love Dawning, I am working to transform a collection of seven downtown properties into a vibrant creative, retail, and cultural destination. This development is rooted in the belief that Henderson deserves spaces that reflect its potential, honor its people, and invite new energy into the heart of the city.

The Love Dawning is more than a real estate project. It is a creative revitalization effort. It is a place where art, small business, food, culture, and community can come together. The goal is to create opportunities for artists, entrepreneurs, makers, food creatives, and residents while helping to bring new life, foot traffic, and economic momentum to downtown Henderson.

Community revitalization is essential. It restores belief and creates spaces that make people proud of where they are from and excited about where their city is going. I am working to turn vision into something people can walk into, experience, and share.

I am building The Love Dawning as both an artist and a developer, with the heart of a community advocate. Every layer of this work is guided by a simple belief: when creativity is given space, communities can rise.

This is more than development. It is restoration. It is storytelling. It is a new chapter for downtown Henderson.
